SOME COMMENTS FROM 2001

"We had a wonderful and exhilarating day. The crew were brilliant and put everyone at ease. A top day all round."
British Airways Sailing Day

"Thank you so much. Some of our Ladies who have attended all of our 'Ladies Days' have said this one is the best! Thank you."
"Many thanks for a fabulous day. It could not have been any better."
AIG Ladies Day

"Just a brief note to say a great BIG thank you to all for the organisation of the shoot on Saturday. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and my thanks go to all involved."
James, London

"There is no doubt that the paragliding is the most exciting thing we did. The overall day was fantastic. We all said we're gonna come back … so you haven't seen the last of us!"
David, Milton Keynes

"A brilliant day, very well organised and it enabled us to enjoy the Island in a short space of time"
Lisa, Croydon

FEATURES ON FIRST CONTACT

In 2000 First Contact, in conjunction with Wightlink, managed to successfully throw some journalists off hills and put them out to sea. Here is what they said about us...

"By the end of the weekend I was exhausted, but felt ridiculously healthy and refreshed. Three days in the company of Phil and his colleagues had shaken the urban cobwebs out of my system. I’m already saving up for my next hit."
Jonathan Thompson, The Independent on Sunday May 2000

"As I sat back in the (paraglider’s) harness watching the shadows of clouds drifting across the island, a seagull appeared to our left, rising with us. Below us was the beach where a dinosaur footprint was discovered. A little further up the coast, ramblers stopped to wave up at us. When we touched down, I’d already decided to come back."
Andrew Gilchrist, The Guardian May 2000

"The Isle of Wight may be a one-escalator island (congrats to BHS in Newport), but there are far wilder ways of going up in the world here - these days you're more likely to chance upon paragliders than Stannah stairlifts as adrenaline sports take over from cream teas."
Norman Miller, Evening Standard, July 2000
